here's the ip2 vs the ip3 at the summernationals in 71  darrel vitonne won the race with an 12.09 sec at 95.33 mph  Shocked
that's the only picture i know with the empi's car battle

Shubee thinks Fred has to much time on his hands LOL Wish I could Bulid Models now Days I use to Bulid them all the Time but I am so Damm old now I cant see the little parts anymore  and I love Detail I use to Put Hose clamps on the hose's and wire the dist caps add brake & fuel lines Old age is a Bitch  LMAO!! I Have Seen The Model you have Posted on the Lounge They are nice Want to Bulid a 67 Cal Look for Me?? lol With Brm's ??

send me an MP with what you want excatly I could made nice 1967 euro bug but 67 us model is not available on the 1/18th market
I am actually working on making 1/18TH scale 48IDA for models engines and dynomax exhaust
I already have post some picture of my blue 67 bug with BRM call "california spirit" in a past topic on the loung look for in "latest berglar news" to find it

    i found this car last night in a 1968 popular hot rodding magazine november issue.it shows it in action at the nhra nationals.who owns it now? my buddy is going to scan it so i can put a pic up.

That car was originally built By a Mr. Schulz in Akron, Ohio.
It had a  Porsche 6 cylinder 911 motor !
I bought some parts from Mr. Schulz shortly before his death and he showed me that car, it came with a ton of oval parts as he thought it would be more valuable returned to 100 percent stock !
After Mr. Schulz died, it was sold by his son.
Eventually it ended up in Canada and advertised for sale on "The Samba".

wow cool info,in the picture its going against greff motors porsche. the porsche has raders up front and wide five torque trust in the rear.it ran 12.54 et.the porsche looked like a gt-40 i forgot what they call that one.

The car is in Santa Rosa California. Unfortunately  Sad the owner recently past away.  Sad I beleve his father is going to restore the car in memory of his son.This info is to the best of my knowledge...Jim
