Man, there have been some bitchin cars posted here!!! Shocked  Very nice gentlemen!

Here's one of my favorites from the early 80's.  The car was known as "Gray Matter".  It ran a vintage 74x88 combo with Empi slipper skirt pistons/cylinders.  The car ran high 11's.

This picture is cool because, as you know, Russell now owns the ex-Keith Goss/Seume chop-top. The Porsche in the background is painted Sahara Beige – the same colour used by Leonard Becker on the chop-top. KG's idea was to build a VW that looked like it was built by Porsche. Looking at that 911, you can see how he succeeded.

Here is "Der Rennlaufer" when found in a northern Florida VW shop a few years ago. A 1966 Bug built to race in 68, parked in 73 when the aluminium flywheel broke loose when racing a Barracuda on the streets of Gainsville ... while tuning up for an "east vs west" VW-shootout at the Gainsville dragstrip. Very very light, no front brakes and the best time slip says high 12s. 1680 ccm with dual Rochester carbs on 2 feet tall homemade intakes. DDS shifter, wild EMPI cam etc etc and the original M&H slicks on the back. Freshly rebuilt, very strong running original engine. An authentic true, untouched racecar built in the "us east coast guys will beat the shit out of the Inch Pincher"-spirit. For sale at the right price to the right owner.

(Sorry if it has been posted before...I am getting old)

The "mother of all Swedes" has been posted and discussed previously - but it deserves a spot in Alien's Gassers Hall of Fame-thread as well....
