Sorry, I don't think I know you, but my heart goes out to anybody that's going through what you're going through. It's times like these that you need to hug all those around you and tell them you love them. Always take as many photographs as you can of family members both in the good times and the bad times, cause you still love them no matter what. Life is too short not to make the best of what you can while you can, and the photos will help with the bad times.
I wish you and yours all of the Luck and Best Wishes in the world.

Frenchy,
Believe me, you made the right choice. Nothing replaces family. Our family will have your grand daughter in our prayers. It is really challenging when something so small and so helpless has such a big challenge coming into this life. We will be thinking about you this weekend.

I am happy to report that as of last night Violette open her eyes for the first time since the 20th when she was born. This morning Sunday my son and I went to see her and again she open her eyes as soon as she heard us talking. So far the doctors are saying that she is doing well. I will be posting some pictures of here this week. I and our whole family would like to thank you for all of your prayers.
Thanks Again Frenchy

Hi guys, Thanks for all the support, it really means a lot. Violette is doing really well. I just got back from the hospital a bit ago, and the nurse reported she is still doing great. She has responded to the chemo treatment tremendously, and only one drug remains (until Thursday) of the three she has been given. Currently her white blood count is within a normal level, and the number of "blasts" (Leukemia cells) are at ZERO. This doesn't mean she is finished though. Over the next three to four weeks her blood will be checked constantly to see if the Leukemia returns. Even if it doesn't return, she will undergo a second round of chemo. Again she will receive three drugs over the course of 10 days, but the type of drugs will change. Another 3-4 weeks of recovery and more monitoring of her blood. If all is well after that, she will most likely come home. Life can throw you a hell of a curve ball. This however, was a cheap fastball to the crotch when I wasn't looking. Stupid pitcher. This is Violette on 4/26: 4/27: And this was her on 5/1: YAY SCIENCE!

Hope all is well, and my prays go out to her. Our son went into hospital 3 months after he was born, put on a drip etc. It was the most terrifying thing (apart from the birth) I have ever been through. I know how you feel. Best wishes. Mike
