If I was in Amarillo, I'd be there.
Hell, it takes 12 hours just to get THERE!
How about I just send you some world famous Round Rock donuts and we call it a draw?
...errr ... ummm ... my belt came off just the other side of Fort Stockton and I had to turn around ... yeah, that's it!
This sounds like an awesome deal ... I hope y'all enjoy it and the turnout is great!

A few shots from this morning's Bugs For Breakfast. Great people, cars, food, and times.
Eating breakfast on a warm So Cal day surrounded by some very cool Cal Look VWs = full throttle AWESOMENESS!!!
Kudos to Dave Rosique for bringing his air cooled vehicle. He had quite the distance to deal with, but after talking to him at length... it sounded like a very nice ride and a great way to begin the weekend. NICE bike, too, Dave!
Ed Craig brought out his very nice '71 Karmann Ghia. VERY stoked to see this car since he's owned it.
LOVE the engine... less is more!
HECKER and Bruce rallied up everyone to go for a quick cruise to a local park.
Herr Schwimmer told us how to get there. TO THE COCKPITS... FOR WE FLY AT ONCE!
Thanks to everyone that showed up to make this one fun Saturday morning.

WoW !!! So fresh in my memory & yet SOOOOO Stoked at seeing so many pictures. Thanks to each of you
that came out. Bruce & I started this a year ago & today was the best yet !! Thank you Stephan S. for
rallying Der Kleiner Panzers to be a part of this. Thanks also to Mark Ramirez / DKK what dedication to drive
over an hour just to EAT!! Great pics, from all , I hope to put up a few later. It was great to see Rosique,
I'm not sure, is Oak Hills farther than Wildomar?? I hope everyone enjoyed, and will come again next month.
We had a couple cars show up after being called & told about all the VW's at Ruby's. Nice to see the response.
Remember you
Built

DRA....oops...I mean the "Legendary" DRA will make a appearance at the next Bug In. Look for our massive two car at display at Bug in featuring Marc's Split and my Ghia.
I think DRA will probably go back in hibernation after that, but this is still unofficial.

Excuse me for not posting sooner. I'm still looking for words to describe what a great day it was!
With over 36 cars (and a motorcycle, Dave!) that turned out it was well attended to say the least, and has exceeded all expectations of it's success. Great showing of Karmanns too, with six Ghias and three Cab's. A few of the cars were locals attracted to the spot by the visual impact that the scene made. Thanks Randy, Sarge, Mark and Ted for recording the happening in pictures so well.
It was a great pleasure to meet so many new Legendary friends and put more faces to names as Hecker would say. I want to thank all the people who traveled long distances and put aside their normal Saturday mornings to come to visit Whittier for breakfast, and no less thanks go to the "regulars" for their continued support. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves as much as I did.
The staff of Ruby's Diner also wanted to extend their thanks and were pleased with our patronage. The manager assured me that given notice they would be happy to put more personnel on duty for our future events to accommodate the increased demand.
The brief cruise afterward was icing on the cake as they say, and a fun way to part company for the remainder of the day.
The first Saturday of the month is now firm, and we have talked of a schedule for the coming year, so keep posted for the next date.
See ya' there!
Bruce
