Smiley don't worry, i'm not scared.

So not much has been going on lately, i haven't had a minute to go work on the car and the team at pat's have been full of work, so it's not moving much...

Still, i know the line lock install is finished, brakes are bleed, doors are almost done. I'm going on monday to fit windows, front wings, hood, front lights and maybe bumper, who knows! well at least that's the plan, more pics monday...

Also i got in the mail the 5th (yeah i'm nuts) and what i hope is the last steering wheel i bought for this car from Mike Maize yesterday, now i have almost all the non vw (aka porsche) parts...

actually it was the 6th...  Roll Eyes  Grin

Anyway today i managed to go to the shop and spend a couple of hours working on the car with Xavier.

One wing back on with the light and painted rim, looking good!
Other stuff done like glove box in, inside quarter panels, front hood hinges, painted the rims of the porsche jauges and mounted them, etc etc...

The bumpers i had on the 68 are dead, so i need to get news ones and i don't really like them. They are too thin on the top with a lip all around the edge, so does anyone know where i could get nice looking ones?

And now some very crappy pics, thanks to my phone.

Roland, you don't need bumpers! Black T-bars would be just right! Wink

Hey Roland,

Just noticed that your Tach only goes up to 7000RPM...

Did VDO make any Tachs that go higher that that, with your motor that 7K thing will not be enough... Wink

Yes, T bars on 1300 lates models are not very nice.
Rear, it is ok, but front no. I think it is because t bars are fixed in fenders and not in the apron.

Frank

Actually they do, but only for 6 cylinders...

7000 is way enough for street use, i'll get a shiftlight hidden somewhere for special occasions Smiley

Painted bumpers would look good on this car.
But I guess chrome ones complement the wheels better.
