Nice progress Glenn Grin

surely it would be easier to use a pair of better back spacing centerlines?
If you go to narrow it may look a bit pro street Huh

Will have to pop round to have a closer look! Note to self, need to
upgrade, people are getting faster!!

Hi Lee , I'm only going to narrow them to the same width you would find on a short axel bug , this be enough to suite the back spacing of these wheels and open the possibility's of other wheels in the future  Wink

Had some nice Porn in the post today  Roll Eyes

This should satisfy my rubber fetish

Not happy today , after having a good look at my engine bits back from the machine shop it looks like they balanced them individually  Roll Eyes
and the wooddruff keys still in the wrapper  Huh Oh well back it go's .
So Ive been mocking up the front end goodies to see what needs to be done  Cool

Mob phone camara quality  Roll Eyes
I think I may need to break out the narrowing tool up front too  Roll Eyes
3" total cut should do it , coz i don't like the "lost in space " narrowed look  Wink just enough to get these sat in right  Cool
Gonna try and do this in the morning , will post the after look pix later  Smiley

Upside down adjuster?

Yup , I wouldn't have minded to much but I only really noticed when I tried to thread the spring's through to double check my cut points after i'd welded it all up  Roll Eyes
Think i was so wrapped up with making sure it was straight ,true and parallel I kinda missed the glaring balls up I made  Roll Eyes

That's a total of 54mm per side  Shocked which come's in 40mm narrower wheel to wheel than a short axel bug  Cool

I've not had too much fun today , did a job I was not forward to ....
Cutting out my old re-pro seat rails and welding in a set of pre 55 runners to get the correct angle for my seats .
All done now but not a job for the faint hearted , fire extinguishers and wet towels on constant vigil .
Grafted in some extra support beneath the drivers seat ,as I don't wish to have a repeat of my last time out at Shakey , me falling back strapped into the seat onto the battery box must have looked funny , but was deffo no fun  Roll Eyes
