Whose stupid idea was that?

I dare you to drive this Bus thru downtown Los Angeles.  I would bet you might stay alive less than 20 minutes.

Not the most politically correct artwork that I have seen.....

A "Picaninny" is a very hateful and derogitory awful word from the old southern state cotton farmers that means a very young man, not yet old enough to work in the fields.  The real definition of a "ninny" is undeveloped ball of cotton, so if you "pick a ninny" its not ready for use yet......  Get it?

Good luck with that.

Personally I would strongly encourage you to go with a different paint scheme.....  2 cents worth right there.

Although we (here in Finland) do have something about the third highest number of guns in the world per capita, we use them mainly to shoot forest animals and not each other. That has something to do with our slave-free history (if you don't count the rule of Sweden and Russia as slavery) and of course we have had an long time agreement to help the poor & unemployed with social care and have free daycare, school (up to high school and university levels) and health care plus pension plans by the state. And we do have freedom of speech, two official languages and so on. You get the picture Cheesy

But thanks for the heads-up and history of the picture. By a really strange coincidence I happen to have an retro plaquette from that Picaninny advert hangin on my kitchen wall! Now I have a story to tell about that cute little boy in the picture...it's funny how american 50's was so full of racism it boasted itself in adverts and newspapers.

And for the topic: that car is really nice! Like the wheel, bucket seats and the stance - and the paint of course!
