While surfing Google, I found this car and was wondering if anybody knows more about it? I was actually surfing for pics of David Ward's blue KG, so if you're reading this David, could you post pics of your Ghia and some information on it? (I remember seeing a blog or something about your KG, motor, heads etc.... now I can't find it)

and while we're on the topic, post pics or thoughts about your favorite KG's past and present. Some of you might remember I had a little seat time in a certain pink one... Roll Eyes

thanks

Not sure. What I like so much abotu this KG is the combination of the color and the wheels....almost 100% exact to what I'd like to do with my '67 at some point. The "shocking" contrast between the powder blue and the starkness of the wheels has a certain "cool" feel to it.

i have always loved Bernards old ghia, not to everybody's taste, but I wish it wasn't locked up in a garage it needs to be thrashed just like Bernie did.

Very nice Ghia.  I too like the color contrast between the light, bright paint against the Fuchs.  If there are more pics of the car I'd love to see it.

Here's a shot of my Ghia taken a few weeks ago at the track.  I encountered a fuel delivery problem that day and only made a couple of passes.

The current 2054 features original Lonnie Reed Wedge Ports, Italian IDA's (both from my brother's old car (circa 1980's).  Its fun.  This combo has run 13.05 with a driver-assisted slow 1.86 60' time.   Tongue  I've run a 1.52 60', so I think its a 12.8 combo when there's fuel running through the carbs.   Grin

Seeing your shortblock Jim, has really got me thinking about getting the 2332 back together.   Wink

I like the colour too. Similar to the "aqua blue" stuff you posted some time ago.

One of my favorite Cal-Look Ghia's............Scotts P. from DKP. Very clean. Don't know his specs of his motor, but it does sound good.

cool...i haven't seen Pauls Ghia with the Empi seats installed....looks great!

i wasn't sure if he still had it....he's been keeping a really low profile for a year or two now.......say hi to him from me if you see him!

for me though i still think its really hard to beat the two Porsche india red Ghia's in Volksworld issue#1, one on Fuchs the other on genuine empi 8's with T bars and filled nostrils......very very cool........otherwise they can look a bit too restocal for me......

cheers....Jick

Bernard Newbury's old Ghia? Fantastic car, but I certainly wouldn't call it Cal-look.

Took those photo's a couple of years ago just after the seats were installed.
Has'nt seen the road since last year after a carb problem + his work so is now planned to have a few jobs done over winter and back out next year.
Still get out for a few pints with him so will say hello and give him a kick to get back on here Grin
Always liked Brian Burrows Ghia(Ivans at some point?) as a cal looker (before he stuck all the vzi stickers all over it), will look for some pics.

The current owner has pulled all the stickers off and painted the stripes blue to match the rest of the car again. Looks good on the Ercos.  Cool
