Very cool.
Has anyone compared Bilstein's to Koni's on a Beetle?

There has been a lot of discussions about these before. Conclusions were Konis were “better” for the street and Bilsteins were “better” for the track or something to that extent. Bilsteins USA and Taiwan have revalving and rebuilding services. I wanted to try Bilsteins as I have been using Koni reds for about 2 decades. I have only driven it for about 40 miles, I find the Bilsteins are not as firm/harsh as reported and I can accept the ride for a daily driver. I am from a country where road condition is what I would say above average. On hand, the Bilsteins have “harder” compression and rebound, the Konis have near stock compression but hard rebound.

Well, I used to swap cams every couple years, mostly Engle, Web, Bugpack, etc I've been driving with the JPM 274-degree for five years now and it's been a great cam, totally reliable and mid-12's in the quarter mile drags. I wanted to step up to either the Engle FK89 or the JPM 00408 cam which both have 282 degrees of duration. However, Johannes indicated that he had several new grinds coming out and suggested his 10009, so I'm going to give it a try

Samples TMI were nice enough to send over to me. Now I can happily go round and round in circles trying to make a decision for weeks.

I was talking with Al the other day, and he has just a cable repair option you can do without sending it back out to California for it. I’m just guessing this one needs the cable! Great score

yes you can buy the cable and do it yourself pretty easy. I had worked on my old one years ago but I just didn't feel like messing with it and I get such a great UPS rate I sent it out and they turned it around in a couple of days. it was also missing the lockout plate so I had them send one with it, should be good to go now just to finish the rest of the car...lol. Scored this cheap wood big button steering wheel on the samba last week. Nice wheel for a sweet deal. Haven’t seen one of these wood ones for sale in a long time that was affordable.

Nice I love those wheels. I picked one up at a junkyard once for $30.00. I had to buy the whole steering column because I didn't have a big enough socket to take the wheel off.

Scored a rare pair of skinny 15x4.5 magnesium American racing LA PAZ wheels and got’em today they are bent but not cracked. Had a set of 5 wins ago kept 1 of the 4.5s and 20 years later got 2 more so I need just 1 or 2 to be whole again.
