Rick, you forgot the pizza place on harbor and orangethorpe, in front of Montgomery Wards. That's were I got jumped in.

Cant find any yet but what's odd is I don't remember having a sticker. Maybe you guys didn't like me and I didn't qualify for one? I'm getting the feeling that I was never an 'official' member of DKK.... it's all pretty fuzzy. I was definitely around during this time and in a club. Is this what getting old is like? |

Another tidbit, found out later that this thing had been hit hard in the front but some wizard with bondo did quite a job to cover it up. Didn't see it until I got the bug back three weeks after it had been stolen/stripped and dumped in LA. I have pictures if your interested to see what it looked like. So it's my car but this picture was taken before I owned it since when I had it it had black 5 spoke empi's. Also have pics of my 56 after someone tried to steal it, got about 50ft down the road and caught fire. Nothing like getting woken up at 3am by the fire dept asking if I owned anl old vw that was now torched. |

This pic was taken after I traded the car to Brian for the 54' vert. I put the ragtop in it but Brian changed the wheels to full polish w/o painted backgrounds. I don't remember the bug either.

Question: Is the white car in the driveway, behind Glenn's Ghia, a '66? It might be my old eyes, but the side windows appear to be '64 or earlier. Obviously, the decklid badge is a 1300 one from a '66 (at least it looks like one). Could this car be another and/or earlier car?
Todd, remember anyone's name from the club? I have many of the club rosters from the old days, but mine cut off at around 1983-84. I'm sure Rick (then, prez) will have more to offer in that area.
