Strictly speaking, most likely NO, Buses cannot be CalLook ... unless they can run under 15.9 in the quarter ...
Sorry, I didn't make the rules, I just remind OTHERS of them.
... just keeping the flame alive ...
TxT
Well looks like it can be done. My wife and have a 66' bus in storage, got me thinking......showed my wife these pics, well got us thinking. Lets see what the future brings. Ted

I didn't take too many pictures this past Classic 2011 week, mostly at the OCTO show. This Type II jumped out at me... [ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ] It's not a "Bus", but I think it has a Cal- Look inspiration for sure. Not sure if it could run the numbers either A little less camber/more rake and a bigger rear tire maybe? T-Bars? 48's for sure!!! I thought it was cool.

Could this be the best "cal Look" bus yet? Showed up at EBI4 looking like nothing more than a nice panel with a set of 356 wheels A poke around the inside reveals a nice steering wheels, aux gauges and a set of original 356 seats (and on further investigation it was running polished 356 drums all round, the fronts cut down to hide discs) But then you went round the back for the money shot and yes that is the real deal Orb

Yep its mine Its got 2 x adjusters in the beam and the spring plates turned 2 splines & notched to suit, shocks are 20 point spax adjustables made to length. Wheels are 5 1/2" x 15" empi slots, front tyres are 165/50/15's, rears 185/65/15. Front anti roll bar has been removed for clearance & the bump stops all cut down. Its got a stock width vw beam. I'll probably change the front tyres to 165/60/15's as theres more clearance than I was expecting, also adjustable spring plates will help when changing the rear wheels. Not much else to say about it right now, interior wise its a walk through with 2 x 3 seaters in the back & its got a stock sp 1600 for now. Got a few dents to fix & it'll be ready for a coat of shiney beige
