Google translate/toolbar for IE, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome seems to work pretty good. Not perfect, just fast and easy.
I use the toolbar tab with Safari (OS 10.6)...not bad.

Mac users can now translate paragraphs in foreign languages by using "Translator free".  It's available at the "App store".
