My local source for stock type terminal has dried up. Does anyone know where I can get terminals like the ones pictued below?

VW used to sell those the way your picture shows them but decided that no one could crimp them to a wire properly Roll Eyes.  Now you get an 18" piece of wire with a terminal crimped on each end for $4 - $7 per wire (cut the wire in half and butt connector to your old harness) Angry!  The wires can be purchased in different gauges... .5, 1.0, 3.0mm.  I'd be headed to NAPA to see Bryan67.

Wait... the same person who is not capable of crimping a terminal end is capable of crimping a butt connector?   Huh
I'm failing on seeing the logic here. Maybe the logic is that instead of selling a 75 cent terminal, they can sell a 7 dollar piece of wire with 2 terminals.

I always solder everything... not doubt if there's a good connection or not!  Wink

Get ahold of a Wurth dealer. If you're using these at a commercial level (do it for a living), they have ALL the original style connectors be it male/female spade type, all the different sizes and gauges.
Check out their online catalogs @ wurthusa.com ... crazy nice stuff to use too ... as long as you have the right tools!

I wasn't able to find a local dealer or supplier in my area (that was reasonable on connectors and had what I needed exactly) so I always order from germansupply.com now for the VW terminals.  They have all the different types of VW connectors I've needed so far.

Do they sell the crimp tool as well? I believe it's a F-crimp or something like that. But I do know the crimp tools that are for butt-splce terminals dont crimp original terminals correctly Undecided

Thanks for all the help! I'm going to order a bunch of them from Wurth. Oddly enough, the crimper tool that i have is a Wurth product too.  Smiley
