I would reconsider how you use bolts in the attachment of this cage. You are now relying on the strength of the bolt to keep the back end on. In other words they get a lot if not all the stress. If you bolt it sideways (90° to the center axis of the car) it will rely on the clamping force between the cage and the tabs you weld on the chassis. Then the bolts will only have to maintain the clamping force. And if you spreed the bolts as far apart as possible it will become stronger with every mm you gain. Just an opinion from a engineering standpoint, but carry on, you must have a lot of fun!

Hi i get what your saying how much twisting force would you think would be there i cant think there would be a huge amount, the cage for the trans will also be tied into the cage in the car there's also 160 mm + of CSA of bolts and dowls there there won't be that much on the flywheel any help is good cheers andy

Hey Andy, glad the turbo arrived safely I'm digging your suspension approach. I bet it'll go around corners well! Are you going to poly bush the suspension arms? Cheers, Matt

Cheers, Matt Cheers matt I'm chuffed with the turbo I'm not sure yet if to poly bush or machine up some bearing mounts for some spherical and roller bearings to take out any movement . I think the later at the moment but you know how I change my mind lol Cheers andy

Andy, have you welded up the wing bolt holes? Like the aero mods! I found that a front air dam worked well.
