Little bit done today

Fitted the sensor bosses EGT and AFR for each cylinder the AFR bosses are well thought out with cooling fins and spaced so the sensor is just in the exhaust flow. The AFR is back pressure compensated to help make the readings a bit more accurate. But to do this I will need to link both banks but not sure if that's going to give any issues I don't think it would be any problem as it would be just be like having one waste gate on a twin scroll turbo ?

And the exit

I'm thinking of making the wastegate screamer pipes I may make the exit were the peashooters should be lol

Hi Martin

I've spoken to a few chassis guys and racers and I m staying with what I started with, with a few mods, at the end of the day I never wanted a chassis car look at skinnie he is in the 8s with a paned car on IRS same as russ will be this year I'm sure. My car is well out of the box but I want to try things I'm not into setting records or status bullshit. I just want to try what I have thought up. I understand what you have said that you and others won't  want to line up against me, that's fine I'm sure when the cars done living 5 miles from Santa pod I will be there dialling the car in and myself every other weekend until it works or I plant it into the wall then it starts all over again. I'm not poo pooing your views and appreciate your concern but I'm sure you will understand I have to try it I've comrade to far just to start again

After having an awesome weekend a at Cal Look drag day and watching Peter Shattock run an11.4 with a 1776cc NA full steel car, with IRS double wish bone rear suspension a bit like mine but much nicer. As is it wasn't made by an electrican  with a welder just take off an go as straight as an arrow with no drama at all, I'm all fired up an convinced this dam thing will work so I'm going to start on the front end. If you we're scared before its getting a whole lot worse lol

So more changes I've been very inspired by petes car, so I'm going to build a strut front end, I'm using a Boxster front end as the parts are nearly the same as the 996 rear end I have used and are very strong. I will making the whole front end now connecting to the cage. The shocks is the only thing I haven't got a plan for yet. But I'm sure somthing will pop into my silly brain soon

Picked this up today Smiley

Looking good Andy, but why aren't you using the complete suspension? (the left to right piece)

Hi Andy

Why did you not stick with the red9 front setup ?
Was there anything wrong with it or was it purely a weight issue ?

Great build by the way, lots of 'different' thinking

Thanks

Hi no reason really but I wanted to make the front of the car part of the cage and also try it out, the red9 front end is lighter than a standard ball joint beam with all the brakes on etc
