Looking good Andy. Your wheelbase and front width are different compared to the boxter. Have you thought about the Ackermann geometry ? I am still not sure how to solve that at my car.
Paul.

Hi Paul
I haven't given it much thought to be honest as I'm only going in a straight line, but I will have every angle adjustable. I'm also going to limit the travel on front and rear
Cheers andy

To much work just to go in a strait line The Ackermann Principe isn't adjustable, it has to do with the angle of your steering arms (on the Porsche struts). the ideal Angle is that when you draw a line, the crossing point of L and R is in the centre of the rear axle. But if you're not using your steering wheel Paul.

Lol I know but I paid a fortune for it so I'm going to use it Bit more, I may get this car done if I keep going lol Fitted the tanks, I've fitted the battery and dry sump to the left of the car to try and help corner weights as I'm 100kg so I've got a bit to make up on that side lol Steering all connected and is very smooth and tight Not much lock but its not a fork truck And I've changed my mind again most of the electronics is moving to the front so the wife will be pleased I'm going to remake the harness to go to the rear of the car looks like the kitchen table will be out of action for a while lol Cheers andy

Hi Andy, Still going strong I know you told me you are only driving strait lines. But are the steering rod angles not just a little to small? Keep up the inspiring work. Cheers, Paul.

the castor angle on "moden" car struts is done on the top mount.

Hi Martin I don't think it will have any bump steer, yes normally you would adjust on the top. I have camber adjusters on the top and needed to make a mount for the bottom so two birds with one stone Cheers Andy

First dibs on the motor when its draged out the wall... Martin

MK1 of the caster adjuster I think I'm going to cut out the triangular piece of metal on the chassis and replace with a flat piece do 4mm as the OG part has ridges Cheers andy

been a bit of a head scratcher this has as I realised I would be grounding the car if I used the bar on the bottom so ive scrapped that idea and mocked this up I think this is the solution I can get 10 deg of caster just got to find another home for the dry sump ive also got to strip this lot down and work out how im going to fit the strange brakes to the front lol cheers andy
