Not sure but much lighter than my idea lol

So a little more I've been trying to come up with a solution to my not wanting switches strange for an electrician but I can't stand switches all over a dash. So after a bit of research ( Google ) I found an open programmable platform that I can make a touch screen switch panel

It's going to be the size of an iPhone with a few functions and simple graphics hopefully in a weeks time the programming should be ready for some testing

Andy, what Internet provider have you chosen for the car? Smiley

No seriously, keep up the crazy work, I love the fact you are thinking outside the box. There are not enough people like you in the scene today.

I hope to see it on the track sometime soon! Good luck.

Cheers

So I weighed the pan body and lots of roll cage

310kg so not as heavy as I thought but I'm estimating at least 800kg when done

I've been very lucky and had this drawn for me and it's now being made I lost my little brother just before his 21st birthday, I have great memories of picking him up from school in my first bug so this will be the bonnet badge

The old stare and drive ey?

I'll imagine you'll scare of an opponent or two going down the strip in the right lane like paul walker.. only with your eyes pined to the fancy screen instead of the pretty girl.  Smiley

But seriously, keep it up, you have a very entertaining thread going on. I look forward to see this thing race!

It's taken 10 hours to machine so far, this stuff  cuts lovely but you have to go slow and lots of coolant slightly too fast it hardens in front of your eyes and that's the cutter done  Roll Eyes 0.5mm at a time

It's like 3d printing in reverse lol
