The old and original VW-OPEN still continues... 19.05.2012 Finland, Kiikala airfield. As slippery as allways, but safer than in traficlights. Come and show your performance. Have fun with plenty of cars, see the diffrent VW:s of Finland at the track. The RED HOT plays live, so pure rock"n"roll by Finnish guys. 1/4 mile at least 6 hours non-stop... info@kuplapaja.com |

Ahhh, the scenic route - guess I'd better allow for a few extra days of travel time, and hope that I don't end up in the lead role for an episode of Locked Up Abroad... |

Tallin-guys called today -their club-members are coming. The Red Hot Helsinki will play there, later this summer this band will play also in Sweden and Norway again, but of cource the tour will start from VW-OPEN |

Hah-haa, we didnt have any rain in VW-OPEN. Allmost 140 drivers joined. People all over Finland were there, also Tallinn + St Petersburg VW-guys were there. Where were all the Norwegians + Swedes??? We had enough Lapinkulta and sauna waiting for you... Hope to see you somewhere... Jussi |

Hah-haa, we had good time in VW-OPEN again... Weather was perfect on friday and saturday. Shiny, dry, warm! 102 drivers were on the strip, 254 starts allmost non-stop. Only one paus 30min, when we had the engine-blow showtime. Std 1200 cc engine lasted 14minutes on max rpm without belt(oil in). Some VW-guys drove their new records, also 10.0 sec street Corvette was there just for fun. There will be timelists etc on www.vw-open.fi soon best type 1 was -65 German-look beetle with nice 18"wheels Porsche-brakes, fine sport interior + stroker off cource best type 2 was sonderbuss -57 with airsuspesion best type 3 was -68 variant with ATS wheels + stroker special award was given to a -54 Porsche 356 which was on the strip also! 14th VW-OPEN is now seen, let see what happens next...
