i wanted to see what the one car you want to drive for one day. say it would be possible to make it happen. but, just one, think of winning the lottery and having to spend it in one day. i know a few come to mind and it will be a consensus or maybe not, maybe there is just one that makes the cut.

for me it would be the raceshop slalom car, if it runs as good as it looks it would be a very memorable day.

That is a very easy answer for me as it was 49 years ago TODAY that I took delivery of my Econo Motors Ruby Red Sunroof.  No question in my mind that it would be the car, but unfortunately that can't be............      Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad

Agreed-but it would have to be one of the 6 long tails designed by Pete Brock that Carroll Shelby made and not one of the many copies out there. and with the 4 48IDAs.

An alternative: The 427 SC (supercharged-only 2 made-one for Bill Cosby (later destroyed) and for Shelby himself).

Ha ha ha... Great subject! I have been so lucky to drive quite a lot of my dream cars through my old job in the historic race car scene. Many of them were as good, if not better than I ever imagined. Some were absolute letdowns, particularly the Italian cars. Sad

My all time favourite I would love to drive would be a 60s Muira in Viper green. Oh yeah!

Well Nicolas basically said  "Money is no object" so it would have to be one of the original 6  Wink

Interesting choice... if you're going that route, why not the fully enclosed version.

This is too easy. Anyone of the six Bugatti type 41 Royales, preferably the Kelner coach that was owned by Briggs Cunningham.
I had the pleasure of being at Pebble when all six were brought together, plus a recreation of the Esders roadster.
I can say for a fact, the spectators spoke in hushed tones as if in the presence of a Deity. Truly a once in a lifetime event.

Ahhh, 917-001.....the vip "taxi" in the Museum

I would prefer 917-023, the Porsche Salzburg LeMans winning #23 now located in in Texas
