I had the great idea to sandblast my bay window at home.
So, I borrow a diesel air compressor from my uncle and a sandblaster from a friend.

I expected a huge mess, but it was beyond expectations...  Shocked

Did mine at home too but out in my large driveway.  Definitely was a mess. I made sure I closed my garage doors before the blasting started.

I blasted my '64's entire body in my friends very large rural backyard.  I created a small beach.  Cheesy

I blasted it also outside in the driveway of our trucks park. Luckily this is a gravel driveway.

Neighbor still didn't come complaining  Roll Eyes

It doesn't work as quickly as a thought. Compressor blow air like hell, but the blaster is a hobby type. The bus had been painted 3 times. Original paint come out quickly but the last layer is a thick paint and they used a bondo style primer. I will blast the inside, door jambs and I will did the flat large exterior surfaces with bristle discs.

It's not how fast you go; it's how you go fast.

It always sounds like a good idea until you do it!  Grin

Make sure you ALWAYS use a painter's-style respirator when working with true sand, even when working outside. A dust mask will not protect you. Silicosis is permanent and painful.
