The video is good and Ron does a great job of telling the story BUT there was nothing like living the life in those days.  It is something that I really can't put into words.  There were a few of us that were lucky enough to have been there from the beginning and watch the story unfold.  Unfortunately I don't think any of us realized what was being established at the time as we were all just having a good time.

One last comment, I was extremely pleased to see the UnderDog and finally hear Doug Gordon's name and credit given to what he offered back in the day.  Doug is one of my Hero's for his contribution to the hobby.

John, 100% AGREE Dougs name is always in the background but without his car which was the first DKP race car, where would it have gone !!!!! I know you posted pictures of him last year are you able to show them the movie ?

Cheers

I downloaded the video with JDownloader (download manager).
I think you could also use Keepvid, see: http://keepvid.com/
Simple paste Vimeo link into form and choose download format and save to your pc.

Russell,  I'll try to phone Doug later today and advise him of this.  I'm sure he will enjoy seeing it.  I've felt for a longtime Doug feels like he has been forgotten by the VW folks.  Ron and I have really tired to get him to attend some functions as I know there are many who would really enjoy meeting him and all of us old timers would enjoy spending some time with him as well.  I can't speak for Ron but I'm still trying to make that happen.

Hey Guys ...

Thought I'd pop in and say Hi !!! .... wanted to also say thank you to everyone thats watched it, posted it and blogged the film .. Its much appreciated it. I spoke to Ron and he thought it was awesome which pretty much means I achieved what I set out to do.

I know a few people have said it was too short, it was simply a budgetary thing, it cost alot of money to make and we had to stop somewhere.

Anyways ... Once again, thank you for all your support.

Stephen
