For those who has made the trip to / from Europe/UK with a car (with trailer). What is the best/preferred way to go?
Staring point being Norway in this case.

Eurotunnel worked for me, but check the clearances beforehand.. We should have probably used the carriage that takes trucks instead of the passenger car one.

Trond

not sure if there are any ferrys to mainland Denmark nearer you than Larvik, Kristiansand maybe?? if not than that ferry to Hirtshals, drive down Denmark to Esbjerg then take the overnight ferry to Harwich, then you have about a 3 hour drive to get to sandown park, this is not the cheapest route, but it is definately the most relaxing, the cheaper way is to still go to Hirtshals, then drive down all the way to dunkirque in france and take the ferry across to dover,

cheers richie

So either drive 1200km or let the ferry take you there :-)
Either way the price difference didn't seem that much.
How long does the ferry take from Dunkirk/Calleis to UK? Seems like there are better options than I thought available :-)
Just gotta remember to keep on the right(or actually, the correct) side of the road when coming to the other side.

Thanks for the tips guys. Looking forward to seeing many of you again in Marc

dunkirk ferry is 2 hours, calais is 1.5 hours.

Dunkirk ferry is further north so less driving, and time to eat.
