Keep it simple...

« on: December 27, 2012, 20:57:32 pm »

There so many people on this lounge with so many great cars at there home. We all try to nurse them to are best abilities. So most of the times (in rainy Belgium for sure) we put them in the most precious part of our house, our garage. The decorations found in there our in many times more dear to us then the things in our livingroom. So... wouldn't it be great to get some pics together of your cars an there sleeping places.
Cheers

Here is a few items I have hanging on my Garage walls. The sign we used to hang in our pits at the dragstrip, I still have the old Cali plates from my old 57, and an old Bug O Rama poster.

Here is a recent shot of our lower level that always houses six vehicles.  The inventory is always changing and is usually a bit more crowded with Detroit Iron replacing the two VW sedans.

Some day if I ever get the the second level (no vehicles there but I do have a complete 40HP engine from our '63 up there) I'll share some photos of some of our other treasures....    Wink Wink

Here is my dream garage -- -- -- It belongs to Mark Christensen, who was the manager at the San Berdoo Autohaus, and he built my Fiat for me -- -- this was taken just after the Fiat was painted and you can see all the different projects he has

I remember Mark.  He worked with Jim (Round Man) Bangs when I was GM at Auto Haus.  Never knew he had all of this stuff.

Not my garage at home (a little asbestos jobbie with a rotten wooden frame!), or my unit that I rent as a workshop 30 minutes from home, but my new classroom at school! Grin
Before:
[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
A store room used for keeping all sorts of junk in, including exam desks, scenery from old school plays etc.

After:
[ Attachment: You are not allowed to view attachments ]
Walls and floor painted, fold up work benches on right hand side, shadow boards on left hand wall ready for mounting tools onto, just needs a car! All done by my five students aged 14-16.

I did suggest that we do a Beetle as a project, but the rest of the staff involved weren't keen on three years of welding... Roll Eyes Cheesy

He restores antique trucks now for $$$ and for fun -- He is doing a Diamond T as a driver, for himself, to go to a truck show in Washington later in the year -- -- has a 1918 Rubble that is too cool for school that is a future project -- and you can see a lot of future projects lining the walls

Here's a photo of my garage on Christmas Day.  Sort of converted for Christmas dinner, but you can still tell it's a garage. Last year we ate outside in the back yard, but it was too cold in Phoenix this year to do that.

There's a car in there amongst the bicycles.

And I did restore the car in that garage.

BTW... I hate you all Wink

After all my son's stuff was organized when he moved back from college.
