Brian, that pic's a tough act to follow  ! Rummaging around, I ran across a couple of shots of the old No Doz sand dragster. Years ago, when I was into riding bicycles, there was a big guy in the group who I did a lot of riding behind (nice draft  ). One day we're riding along and he's telling me about his girlfriend's dad.... how he's into racing cars.... dragster.... VW powered... turns out Keith Longerot's her dad! No, Jeff sold it back when they shut down the sand drags at Glennhelen. He considered setting it up for asphalt, but we had no local tracks at that time.

This is my old 66 back in the late 80's before I owned it (in the mid 90's). When I had it, it had over-riders and 356 wheels without hubcaps, black centre and silver outer. Was a cool little car... Dechromed (as cal look should be hey!  ) I especially liked the black pop-outs.   |
