That silver 356 was built by my friend Scott Sebastian in Sanger. He normally builds high dollar sand cars so this was a little unusual for him. He also builds motors and transaxles. He put an entire VW torsion housing under it with a Berg 5 speed and a VW motor. Also did all the roll cage and metal work. Bad ass. Did it really run in the 10`s?

Berg 5, sweet!! I noticed a smaller diameter pipe that ended right next to the exhaust pipe. I had never seen that before, so I peaked under the car for a better look. Wastegate pipe and hidden turbo system Cool so it is quite possible it ran in the 10's. Any info on the engine?

Actually, the 356 has a 3.88 stock geared 4 speed box in it. And I believe a 2276 TBI injected turbo and intercooler. Scott transplanted a whole type 1 torsion housing into it. He was running an 11.04 at only 120 something so he was pedaling it. At Sac it had 4.5 and 8 inch Fuchs with frontrunners and slicks but I think the owner has a set of road race tires and maybe some street tires also. It is in the 356 registery and is officially the worlds quickest 356. But i`m sure its only a matter of time before its in Hot VW`s as he also has a nice black restored oval that was featured awhile back.
