Hi

I have been talking with the new owner of the SSB. I have made attempts to get a price out of him with no luck.
He said he will be putting it on Ebay. If you or someone you know is interested in it be careful he doe's not have the best reputation.

I have emailed him and said I no longer have interest in the Car. Basically I do not trust him.

It doe's hurt to know a guy like this owns my Brothers Car but I just got to let it go.

i've seen the car at bitburg 2 weeks ago , and i was suprised too ,  to see the car for sale , after talking with some switzerland friends , they explain me how the car was in the hand of a new owner
that's sad to see the car in this way , the new owner removed all the stuff on the paint  that Dido does , for me it was part of the story of the car in Europe with Dido

that car was a bad ass in the hand of Dido

It is a pity. I was shocked to see the SSB in this outfit at Bitburg. In Dido's hands  the car looked amazing with all the writings ... sad

Ok how many of the parts are still left on the car when Mark sold it. As I see the Berg shifter is not there, also am I right in saying it was only running 13s at ddd.

stock shifter for sure , because i remember asking him about how to use a stock shifter and he said that Mark said when you push  the next gear that's the shifter who bend a little with stock one and with a berg he's to rigid and  it's the gearshift linkage(inside the tunnel) who bend if i remember Dido said that to me

No the car had a berg shifter for sure.

So if it not the 2332cc motor that was in there I'm sorry to say it's not worth €12.000.

it had empi 48 IDA's (yes the newer ones), so that was not correct, i also saw the manifolds were changed, but it did have a new apron.

Looking at the dude's current web site, I'm guessing he's another run-of-the-mill peddler?

I have no idea what "RASBOX" is, but it looks like sh*t plastered on the SSB.  My favorite photo that I took of the car was at the 2005 Bug-In 32 at Fontana, Calif., and was an extreme close up of the nose with the "FA-Q" hood art.  Met Mark at the 2002 classic and always thought he was a very nice guy.  We also exchanged e-mails on stories from the '80s era of street racing, etc.  He was a very gifted storyteller, no question, along with his other talents.

Hi guys,

I heard that the car was for sale and contacted the owner.  Asked for price and as I have a spare engine asked if he would agree to sell it without the engine.

I did not get a clear reply. He just replied "many interested people, make a bid and higher gets it, car is for sale complete"

Hard to deal with this type of answers..

So definitely had a bad feeling about the seller.

Suddendly one night, i received a SMS "you're a tirequicker"... Really good commercial skills..
