found these on the web..

Where is the second picture taken?? Cool place. How come I can't quote with pics btw?..

The '67 is Curlie's car and the Porsche is from DVF fellow member Kevin. The picture was taken at the old F1 circuit in Reims.
Check http://http://www.pbase.com/kayjaynz/gp_circuit_reims for more pictures.

I love 67s, I am going to get one as my next project.  The ST DRAGN and Ivan's 67 are my favourite Beetles of all time

That's a new build that belongs to club member Dustin Patrasek... it's a 1969 and got a full pan-off restoration.
I'm thinking the motor is a 2332 or 2376; lots of nice stuff on board!

Great pics there Sarge, that sun just seems to add an extra dimension to the colour of your cars. Something i'm very jealous of, with our watery sun here in Scotland.

Just a couple of old fellas hanging out.

sure jim ! I'm not sure you remember but we met like a year or two ago at bens house in whittier, anyway's i had a 67 that i sold and used to the proceeds to move to las vegas in 1998 and thought i would be out of the vw scene forever ( haha ) so about 4 years ago a friend found an almost complete car for my here in the las vegas area, i loved the car but i didn't want the motor as i was recently planning on building a new car i truly wanted an old school cal look motor ! so we purchased the car and he took the motor and i kept the car now for the details on the motor
at it's heart is an old school 76 ems crank with rimco super rods and flywheel which i acquired from Art gutierrez
next up was a set of mahle/cima 94 pistons and barrels and dual relief engine case from D and A racing all additional machine work was done at rimco
for head work i went with CB performance super pro heads 44x37.5 with skat track manifolds match ported by CB performance and CB 1.4 rockers
the carbs were pulled apart and polished by jay cee ent
oil is run through a 4 quart berg sump and filterd through an O'berg filter
the motor was built by dave mcfarlane (mighty mouse)
all fuel lines and oil lines were also fabbed by dave from tmr lines and fittings (all black !)
the CR on the motor is a healthy 10:1 and it has plenty of get up and go !
