Cool wagon!
As usual, I'm sure it's full of the subtle "Fred" touches... Are those Turbo wheels?
I had a chance to buy a P1800S wagon once... still kicking myself.

Thanks... yeah, the first thing I did when I bought the car was hound of my neighbors for his Turbo wheels that were on his wrecked 1985 wagon for $200. He finally caved in and I brought over two floor jacks and gave him my old 13" skinny factory steel wheels. Got the alloys home, my boys and I cleaned 'em and brought back the factory silver paint. Then, painted the center of the spokes (like the later wheels) black but left the outer part of the wheels silver (like the early versions). Best of both worlds and I've never seen another set painted like that.
Next, I got some Euro spec. front lenses, added the Hella side turn indicators, lowered the car, tinted the windows, removed all of the Volvo badges, and bought a "Classic" (from 1993, last year produced) badge from Don Metz when Circle Porsche+Audi was a Volvo dealer. Also added the amp and oil gauges from another friend's wrecked Turbo. Along with his factory Turbo rear speakers.
Was the P1800S wagon recently available to you? Those are really cool cars. Any European estate is good in my book.

That's rare and cool watercooled shiat. Very nice.
I think, as Ian says, on most of the early German A1 cars the silver was Diamond Silver. That's the color my 84 GLI was.

WOW, Ian! VERY cool engine. I can see why you wish that you still had the car. I'd love to have it, too. Always admired the first generation Golfs. Very fun cars to drive. I had two of 'em... a hardtop and a cabriolet that I converted over to Euro spec.

Nice one, Ian! Back in the old days, Okrassa / Oettinger stuff was sold through a place called Powerhaus here in the states. The guy who did the selling was a guy named George Ferch who, to this day, is a loyal Commonwealth VW customer. George still drives his Oettinger equipped Rabbit in once in a while... always gets a crowd on the service drive!

Can't remember if I posted this before (CRS Syndrome....can'tremembershit), but here's the old 73 Datsun truck. The motor was a 1600 with Badger high compression pistons, Fumio ported head, Racer Brown cam and springs, dual Mikuni Solex carbs, 2000 Roadster clutch and flywheel and Datsun Competition SSS headers. After a good sorting out, the thing hauled ass.... until it was stolen one day and never seen again.

What a throwback!!
That's my favorite Mini Truck right there...
Sarge, I used to hang out with the "West Side Truckers" along with the "California Camaros" back in the 70's.
California Camaros used to cruise out to Colorado Bl, uncork their very "built" V-8's, cruise the Bl. and drive 'em home that way... Nothing quite like the sound of a bunch of open header cars going through a tunnel at freeway speeds!

See that price in $ Sarge? Just put a £ sign in front and that's how much we pay
We've some cool new toys at work today. New Alfa MiTo looks good, think I'm ordering myself the 155bhp petrol in a few weeks. Oh and we've a couple of Fiat 500 Abarth's in too. Gemma's going to love that. Except when I 'borrow' it

That's one sweet lookin' Audi, Sarge. Thanks for psotin' that. I've been an Audi fan since I was a kid. Easily, the most underrated cars on the road. I guess that's why I dig 'em so much. Nobody cares about 'em.

That's very nice looking, but for that upgrade price, I'd expect to see a few more engine upgrades than a Stainless exhaust!!

You'd be hard pressed to buy all the stuff on the sticker bit by bit for that money. Here's the suspension stuff, for instance.... and they don't give those big wheels and tires away real cheap either.

About all that's left would be a trip to GIAC for some computer work and you'd have a large grin on your face!

I also think that was the best lookin mini truck made. My high school buddy was in west side truckers, I used to hang out with them alot back in the late 70's.
