Here's another one, we had a car show everyday!
Just noticed that the wheel color matches the license plates. Ties in very well.
That's the Rolling's family Burro behind it.

That's our own Mr. Ramirez's '70. Later, had vanity plates that read: MY TOY. Always loved that car. Rest in peace, Vaugh Rollings... a very large presence in D.K.K.

One of the best looking late models ever!

Any idea what happened to the "family Burro"?

Hey Jim, Is that the Gemco that was on Yorba Linda Blvd. or was another one... maybe La Habra or La Mirada?

As I remember, the wheels were painted with a metallic paint. but you're right about the color being close Cal license plate blue.

In the DKP members plate was Mark Ramirez listed under DKP II, were there two Mark Ramirezs?

Great scannings Fabs, thank you  Wink

Tero, Mark R. started D.K.K. when D.K.P. II was winding down. The name that you see on the D.K.P. plaque is the same person. D.K.K. filled the gap between 1977-1985 for Cal Look VWs. Four years or so later, fellow DEEK Bill Schwimmer got together with a few other enthusiasts and with the blessings of Fleming and people from D.K.P. I, generation III (the current one) was formed and has been going strong ever since.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but that's the way I understand it.

those are very similar , so there's one from dvb and one from drf
 Roll Eyes
so now don't know if the one below is a drf car , because the drf one look like a 66 and the one from dvb is a 67 ,and the outside rear mirror aren't the same and one had t bars and the other one buggy bars
so any idea guys Huh

The 67 With Buggy Bars Was Steve Setzers Car from DVB

There's a picture of this one on the back of KS's new Cal Look book - the b/w picture with the 4 bugs and the guys BSing and having a beer! Cheesy

dyno any info about this one Huh

Wasn't Roger in Der Guteenine before DKP II came about? That'd be the first Ghia, when it had the 8-spokes before the 14" alloys.

Next to it is Scott Hall's late model and you can just see the roof of Jimmy Yowell's car.

I remember that show. We were the only VW club there with several low rider clubs and we won Most Represented Club.

It looks like you can see the rear fended or Henry Mayeda's KG though the window of Bubba's car.
