That was Alex Gonzales' car. A fiberglass fake Heb' kit car. See the license plate?

Yes, that was the Squareback that McNew built. But if this is Bug-In 25, then my best friend's brother, Richard, owned the car. Bob Rey (TOPNOTCH) bought the car from McNew then had to sell it to get married. He would have been in our club had he kept it.

The red Oval belonged to Keith R. (Worm's friend) and was a gorgeous car. Dumper, I don't think, wasn't quite yet in the club at that time. The beige/brown Ghia owner, if I'm not mistaken, is Dustin's (D.K.P. 3) cousin.

Actually, I think that was Dumper post DKK.

My recollection was that John was in and out before I joined.

Was that car in our club, Joel? If it was, one of us might have a picture of it. Not remembering the car, though. I'll have to look through my club photo albums under the coffee table.

I was kind of a step child when Mark was pres...everyone told me all I needed to do was paint my roof and I would be in... I attended all of the functions and meetings at Perrys...my buddy, Kerry Liera, was a memeber. He had a burgundy '60 with Rivieras. I helped him build his car....

Right on, Joel! That's about when I got in. Mark, Jim Smith, or Carey might have a shot of what you're looking for. Carey is on Facebook. He's friends with most of us DEEKS, if you're not already in contact with him. Oh, and Jim, too. Mark's not on there.

We went to the same meetings, I'm sure... Larry's Pizza, right?

Yup! Larrys Pizza in Anaheim....I still remember Vaughn Rollins "Making his entry" every time he came to a meeting...I can't remember his name, but one of the guys towed my car home after a meeting when i blew my trans doing doughnuts on the wet parking lot. He only charged me a 12 pack, but that got confiscated by cops in the Larrys  lot when we were headed to the next club party...good times!

HA! Totally sounds like a typical DEEK meeting at Larry's. If we had video cameras back then, the footage would be PRICELESS now. Not only were the meetings hilarious, but on many nights... the post-meeting parking lot action was equally as entertaining.

Photo I took at Black Gold Import,s shop in Arlington,Tx. a couple of months ago. Shubee,s wife Beca had some upholstery wook done there on Shub,s Ruby Red '67. Before the black basketweave covers where put on Jack and crew embroidered this on the seats. Hope to see the car at some Dallas local shows this year.
