Right..... I did it in my manx so it can't be that hard! (well I did have alot of help from Richie Webb and a few others!!)I am talking about heading up to Gardermoen Raceway in Norway for SCC 2015..... Over the last year I have made the trip from the UK to Norway/oslo several times and covered over 30,000kms so I have the route pretty well worked out now...... https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/Calais,+France/Deventer,+The+Netherlands/Osnabr%C3%BCck,+Germany/Puttgarden,+Germany/Rodby,+Denmark/Gothenburg,+Sweden/Oslo,+Norway/@55.0682351,-1.9706072,5z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m44!4m43!1m5!1m1!1s0x47dc3f75d7f1e363:0xacbed9e08cd279f4!2m2!1d1.858686!2d50.95129!1m5!1m1!1s0x47c7ebc9af5d5611:0xc1a40d18d98571e3!2m2!1d6.1552165!2d52.2660751!1m5!1m1!1s0x47b9e598697b5d4d:0x426cf7763005c60!2m2!1d8.0471788!2d52.2799112!1m5!1m1!1s0x47ad6442884ec387:0x880abdabe97badd8!2m2!1d11.216667!2d54.5!1m5!1m1!1s0x47ad43596af57bed:0x5f0aaca5390fda6e!2m2!1d11.389576!2d54.6937!1m5!1m1!1s0x464f8e67966c073f:0x4019078290e7c40!2m2!1d11.97456!2d57.70887!1m5!1m1!1s0x46416e61f267f039:0x7e92605fd3231e9a!2m2!1d10.7522454!2d59.9138688!3e0?hl=en I will be doing the trip from the UK in 2015 as I am now living back in the UK but there is NO WAY I will miss SCC!!! So who is gonna make the effort and come with me??

Maybe if we time it right each shop could join us on the "Road Trip" up to SCC I am gonna start a thread on the "Early-bay" forum and try and get some of the bus guys to come along..... (Should be pretty easy to get them there when they see the prices of early bay stuff in norway!!!)I really want to get some more "Outsiders" up to SCC, People don't realise just how many Cool/Quick cars there is in Scandinavia!!! Maybe some other members could start some threads on Swedish, Danish, Finnish, & German forums.... Please Lets make SCC 2015 the Biggest & Best Yet!!!

From London to Gardermoen its roughly 2day in an Aircooled car/bus....... You can do it in less than 24 hrs but its nice to have a stop/rest somewhere around the top of Germany or copenhagen The route I showed above is about the "Easyest" route, Very simple and straight forward, Lots of sign posts etc

This is exactly our route back from this years SCC, from Hamburg we were heading to Hannover. We started 10:00ish in Gardermoen and arrived home 3:00 next morning, heavy rain all the way. If I can make it next year i´ll considering the fairy Kiel-Oslo for both ways

As many as you can do It depends on weather and traffic etc....... The last section, Copenhagen- Gardermoen can take anywhere from 9-10hr up to 16-18hrs..... There can be crappy weather on this section as its near the coast... I have dome that section in 8hrs but it has taken me ALOT longer My normal "Plan" after the ferry to france is just to see how far you can get into Germany and go from there

Rumours has it that a ferry service from Newcastle to Bergen and Stavanger is being planed. If so then that might be an option. The drive from Bergen or Stavanger to SCC is considered one of the best by Top Gear. You can also use the Ro-Ro freight boat going from Hull/Immingham to Brevik. It is not a full service ferry but the price is OK and the drive from Brevik to SCC takes about 2.5 hours or so. You are able to get a cabin on board.

Great travel info there..... Thanks guys!
If I'm coming with a my VW on a trailer a more direct ferry & shorter drive sounds better.

I can understand people wanting "Less driving" but the only thing to remember is the extra costs on the ferries for trailers Just be carefull as sometimes its ridiculas money....... In my bus doing the route shown above its approx 4-5 tanks of fuel, depending on traffic/average speed/weather etc The uk-france ferry is approx £40-£100 return (depending when you book and this is WITHOUT a trailer!) The Second Germay-Denmark ferry is approx £75.00 (you can get a return for approx £120) The Bridge/toll into Sweden is approx £40 oh and the little toll into Norway is approx £3.00 Another tip is that Germany can be a little funny with "Card Payments" so some Cash/euros will be useful.... Everywhere else is fine with cards, But remember DENMARK, SWEDEN & NORWAY all have different Currencies ie NOT EUROS!!! This caught me out on my first SCC trip Please feel free to ask any more question

If you do not want to do the tour "back to Germany" on August 7-9 there is a race at Kjula/Sweden that same weekend. I can HIGHLY recommend Kjula for those that are interested in drag racing, vintage, camping and a good party in their party barn. And Kjula is on the way to SCC the weekend after. Best rgs BB
