It is getting really ugly on the Samba. Looks like folks were bilked out of ten of thousands of dollars. I usually only buy from a couple of sources, CB, Berg, AC.net, BFY & WW but I did recently buy something from him. (Set of torsion bars.) Fortunately they arrived before he closed up shop. I feel for anyone who is still waiting on stuff. Between this and the MDR stuff it starts to make you wonder. I have only been into VWs for about 13 or so years and this is not the first time I have seen people do this. Our little segment of the car hobby seems to attract this type of people. We had an incidence in our little town where a shop owner took advantage of a bunch of people, charged them for work that was not done, sold parts off of customer's cars, sold parts he bought with other people's money. Then he tried to disappear but the law caught him and now he is in jail.

Louis is right, I just went thru the whole Topic on the Samba. This stuff takes your breath away. Just checked with my CC Company, they can't do a re-charge since i authorized him to charge me. $ 1000.00
Thank you Steve, i really hope we'll meet some day.
PS. He was spotted once or twice on-line at the Samba to check his Topic...

I'd try again. I don't know what the CC laws are where you live, but when a vendor doesn't supply you with the parts, that is grounds for a chargeback. Look into the CC laws. |
