Quick question please: what is the going rate for unrestored O.G. Deep Sixes and 4.5s these days?
Cheers
Nigel

About $2500/pair for either one of them. Maybe 2k for the deep 6s

Question: I have a pair of original 4.5s and one original deep six for sure. The other deep six I'm not so sure about. It has a different stamp on the back to all the originals I have seen. However, it has hearts. Do repro deep sixes come with hearts?

If its a real deep 6 it will have a 901.xxx.xx part number on it. If it doesn't, it's a repro

There are some genuine Fuchs with no numbers. The front wheels from an original 911R will be blank on the inside.

I'm pretty sure the 911R fuchs were 15x6 an 15x7s and had 901.361.012.03 stamped on the 6s and 901.361.012.05 on the 7s. The only difference on the 911r deep six and the regular deep 6 was the .03 instead of .06 stamp number on the inside. I could be wrong though...Lord knows I'm always looking for that .05 stamping on em

You are right, the numbers were stamped. An ink stamp. Most of those ink stamps are long gone, leaving the inside of the spoke blank.

Weight is usually a giveaway between cast and forged wheels , That and taping on each wheel . The forged wheel will ring like a bell and a cast wheel will be kind of a dead sound compared to forged wheel
