No, they are new wheels with a vintage "look".
I don't believe they are an exact copy of an old wheel.
I have seen them in many different bolt patterns.

I think they are styled after the American Racing "Salt Flat" wheels, which are themselves a little bit Halibrand-esque! But Like Richard said, they're not a direct copy of anything.

I think they look particularly good on a bus, gives it a distinct muscle-car look. I saw a set of the chevy pattern AR Salt Flats on a roof-chopped project bug on the samba a year or so ago, and they did look good on that (it was a sort of Tar Babe-style chop, not one of the rat rod abortions that every talentless no-mark is coming out with! Wink )!!!

Very cool wheels. It's refreshing to see something new, not only copies of old designs.
I think they have managed to make a nice overall design using elements from other classic (non VW) wheels.

They remind me of the Halibrand Kidney bean wheels. That has always been one of my favorite designs.

My Bug is a 58 JeePee. Yes I`m sure they will fit fine on your bug. They come in +13mm and +21mm offset. Grey or polished. I ordered mine directly from Mooneyesusa.com.
