The BIG WEEK is finally here and certainly no better way to get things started then a BBQ at Steve Beecher's house yesterday.  Sharon and I
drove the '67 down to Steve's in the early afternoon to avoid the inevitable traffic-jams, had some damn good hamburgers and brats plus a few
too many brewskis; then the crowd showed up!  Gregg B drove his '37 Lincoln and brought Speedwell, Freddy, Mike, Fred & Dimitri... great to see
old friends again!  Dave K., Dustin, Don C, Jason, Stephan, Fleming, Seume, Scott P, Tim Walton and others soon followed; it was ON!! Grin

OK, time to head over to downtown Garden Grove for the DKP Friday night cruise.  Always exciting dealing with road aces in a Bug on the freeway especially on Friday Roll Eyes
Roll the pics.... but first, a cupcake!

Jim

Thanks for sharing the pictures looks like it was a great weekend.

A little off topic but can I have a one of each on the board?

Thanks Steve!  As for Arnie, I don't have an answer for your question.

Thanks Wray... be careful what you wish for; some of that stuff is pretty dangerous Grin

No, Russell shipped it over for the week.
Seeing arnie drive it with his wife & daughter in it on Saturday was a highlight of the trip Cool
He's now looking for another savanna '67!
cheers

Thank You Sarge for the pictures, and still dont know how you mastered to take them incognito/LOL...     As for Arnie: No, he is not going to buy back his car from Russell, however he was teary eyed for the weekend ,just from smelling that Pure VW smell from his old cars interior. He is quite a guy, cool as hell, and very funny..!! For ME personally, it was perhaps one of The Best weekends I had to spend in a very long time.  Steve Beecher was an incredible host with prepping and cooking and making sure everyone was at Home.  Many Thanks to ALL..!!   Dyno Don
