Had a great time yesterday at the Pod, although only saw one round of O/FF. Watched it on the webcam today, looked great but not as many cars out so hope all are ok.

Great weekend,  weather was boiling, new PBs for some members .  Good to see more new Outlaw flat four members, Harvey with the Ned Bug and Richie Moss with his turbo notch at the track

Yep, fantastic weekend. I was 0.01 away from my pb which considering the temp and head wind I was more than happy. Great turnout for the outlaws and I would also like to thank Ron for the towing duties and help

Some videos

New PB for Frank

PB for Phil

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-qBw7MDeQY

and also well done to Dave Nicholls, after his incident with the Fiat earlier in year rather than sit and do nothing he took the little 1915 side draft turbo engine out of the fiat and put it in his Beetle street car, got it all plumbed and working, did a few 100 street miles to check it all worked  Shocked and went to Dragstalgia to see what it would run, it bogged on this pass but later went 10.64@125mph with a half decent launch, pretty good for what it is, only 1915cc side draft turbo  Cool

Only 11.85@126mph on this pass

Thanks Richie it was interesting to see how quick the car would go, I haven't driven it properly for years I was so used to the fiat, so I put the motor in drove it everywhere ace café, motorway as I hadn't driven a beetle for ages.  Theres abit more in the car yet if I can get the 60ft better and the mph was abit down

More interesting than my car was the return of Ian Clarks 52 split! he ran a 12.00 in full interior, glass, all steel car. It was good to see it back out

It was nice to see the 52 out again, although I do love the 850 too. Saw your car on Saturday afternoon with a few bits missing Dave, no problems I hope?
