Yes WCB, living in Dubai. Shipped my car from the UK this year after finding a RHD loophole. Had to register it in a different Emirate of the UAE.. Dubai doesn't allow RHD cars, especially with a cage. Smiley

Car is currently running a little 1600 twinport but I was told that back in the States it was running a 2276 and a beefed up Der Transaxle Gearbox (which it still has), spec of gearbox is as follows:

 
Trans- built by Jim Kaforski-Der Transaxle.

SuperDiff
Billet Side Cover
Sway-A-Way axles,
1st 3.78
2nd 2.06
3rd 1.38
4th 1.04


Bigger motor is getting built this year and I am currently collecting parts which include...

It belongs to Dave Conklin from the Cornpanzers. In that photo there's no visible exhaust because it was turbocharged for a while. Ran in the 10s if I remember right.

yes great car,you could follow the build off the turbo upgrade in ultra vw.
it ran also on ercos then when it was at the drag stip.

seems to head in a nice direction there Peter. how about this for motivation: get it ready for EBI, drive it there and go to the camping place you were at at EBI1… they have fantastic pizza and chilled chimay beer that goes nicely with it.
