Some of you guys may remember this car from Rick Mortensen's build threads on here and various photos from the 2013 Classic he took it to. I bought it from the samba in 2018 and imported into the UK. Rick's threads detailed the engine build, the semi-hemi heads, the steel eyebrow decklid even the door panels by Zack.

Buying "blind" I pretty much commited to it on the strength of the Lounge threads and Rick's reputation. I wasn't disappointed. It's obvious he built as a road tripper as it drives great. I have been lucky enough to own some nice Cal-Look cars, show winners, magazine featured, club cars etc and am quite fussy.


I'm selling as I have a couple of other irons in the fire that I would like to finish off and you can only drive one at once !

This is really a thing of beauty! I had the pleasure of seeing it up close in 2014 in Sacramento and Ray Valleros place.

Just completed a nearly 1000km round trip to EBI 8 with no drama at all. Car ran great !

What kind of exhaust is on it? The chrome pipes seem to be thicker than the other ones I saw on the event.
If i find one like this the A1 exhaust I have now will have to go
