I took that last picture at the classic two years ago. Ben Salazar's 67 is one of my favorites. The dark blue engine tin is a perfect choice. It is so nice to see something different. I love the interior as well; dark blue vinyl with lighter blue cloth inserts. One piece windows, brms and tach on the dash. Beauty!

Rode with Ben a couple years ago from Irwindale after the first drag day.  Cruising down the freeways, after him making passes down the strip. was very cool.

Zach I would bet that is a replica not the original.  I'm not sure that is the 1st Dyno Day either.  I was there for that an I would have remembered that Duece, believe me!

The original McMullen roadster belongs to Jose Zaragoza of El Paso.

I was at that show that day first time I saw real Cal Look stuff. Had a huge influence on me. Mainly Berglar.
Talked to a nice guy with the "other" black sedan w/ BRMs, Brody Hoyt.

Were you there Shubee? did you even own a VW when those photos were taken? that was at the beginning of reforming the club, we were all friends and hung out. Some people had stickers and some did'nt, but we were all part of the same group.Gary B always showed up to whatever was going on, I don't know if he considered himself a member or not. Maybe you should ask him instead of answering something that you have no knowledge of.

Judging by all the Chrome and Full Bumpers in that Picture I Might not have had a VW at that time Grin You Should ask him instead of telling people he was a Club Member?? so dose that mean anyone hanging around the club is a Member?  I talk to Gary Quite often I will ask him next time I talk to him, Was Keith Goss in the club? or did he just get stickers for the Photo Shoots??  Grin
