Hi Russel,

as I already posted in the Volksworld thread that would be lots of fun! Grin
Do you think about a show´n´go competition like the DRKC series or just a fun race?
I (or better: we!) would be interested in both! Cool
Bye,

Russell been thinking about this and yes a good idea but as always you are going to have to put down some rules. Street tyres or are slicks OK and mufflers or stingers just two to think of may be the guys that want to do can come up with some more. Smiley

Street legal treads would be better than slicks.

But that might be because I can't afford a new box at the mo  Cheesy

Race as it you drove it there.

If you trailer it then you have to race is as such.  Grin

how did the OFF run things with the jap cars? Simple heads up stuff? That seemed to work without a load of rules and regs. Why not a simple first to the line and we pair them up?

The 5 rules should be:

1) Must be cal look street car
2) Must run on street legal tyres
3) Will be heads up for under and over 1999cc
4) Must have muffler
5) Must Drive to the show

Joe, OFF is a race club not a cal look club, as you know i would love you guys to take part but it was only an idea for the CAl Look Street Cars, all to be done in the style of gold old heads up racing.

Anyway you guys will be there entertaining us anyway.

Back to the Cal Look Clubs, give me some names so i can speak with the EBI Powers (Kobus, Freddie  and Mike) and try and arrange for this at a certain time over the weekend.

WAIT.... Please

I am not having a go or a dig and am not trying to exclude anyone from having fun as this was only meant to be a little inter club fun !

Firstly

Guys my suggestion was that the Cal look Clubs should have a heads up race, I know that OFF have some superb cars but i thought (please correct me if im wrong) they were a drag racing club, If a member was both part of the OFF and a Cal look club it would be no problem, what i was suggesting was only for fun as we always see some of these cal look guys turn up and park up, i wanted to see them turn up and take part ! i.e RACE. and we all know that the OFF Take part BIG Time.

Secondly

It has been suggested that my proposal fro rules were too strict and upon reading this i agree: maybe we should set these as the minimum rules
1.) Must be a registered cal look car belonging to a european cal look club like DAS, DFL, DBS, JG54, etc.
2.) Must run with muffler and fan belt on
3.) Can run tires of choice (in germany DOT-legal tires are illegal, but in GB for example those are legal as far as I know so i think it would be fair to just let the driver decide if he wants to run on slicks, street radial or whatever)
