I took this picture at Bug-in in '05.  Spoke with the owner at length about the car.   It had a big motor, very nice paint and a few cool tricks like the W vert lid vents welded behind the license plate.  The owner said he used it to take trips for Starbucks on Sundays.  Danny Gabbard was said to be instrumental in it's build.  Anybody got any other pictures?  The interior was dead stock.  Owner said he was going to blackout the motor, ida's, alternator and all.

In person even more so.  I hadn't slept for 36 hours before motoring down to the bugin, and that car just wowed me out of my stupor.

It was Danny's car & he sold it to Brian Plummer who owned it @ the Bug In, Brian added the Fuchs and motor.Fit & finish is typical Danny G. Car has lots of history behind it. It was 1st owned by Mark Mc Evoy, it was a street racer, I raced against it in 87' with my 55'.He was running 11:70's @ the time, he gave me the move because I had a muffler & fan shroud & I just beat him @ the end. Pretty wild ride ,both cars wheelstanding ,getting sideways, all kinds of mayhem. Mark ended up doing a full body off resto in black w/ real BRM's, 5speed , Ti valve Carrillo rod motor and more ultra rare parts than you could count. Would have been a stunner back then & today But he needed some money & I ended up selling the BRM's for him. He later added some nos Empi 5's & drove it about 5 miles & stuck the throttle & crashed it. He ended up parting it out & Danny ended up with the car. Danny repaired it & painted it white, drove it a couple of times & sold it to Brian. Have'nt seen it since Bug In.

That car was my screensaver for sometime as it gave me the inspiration to get mine finished. Very nice car and would love to see some more photos if there are any more.

BEAUTIFUL car Ron!! I think you made a good European version of the American car.
Like the way it sits, especially in the back!

I spoke to Danny at Drag Day in October.  He is working on another incredible car and was moving to Nevada.  Doing well and working hard.

Yep, I talked to him last month. He was at the DKP Christmas Toy Cruise. Still the same old! ;-)

How have you been? Can't remember the last time we talked.
