Here is a couple tools I made to straighten and open slightly to get hood and decklid seals to slide in and also the engine seal.

Thanks tony, Its getting closer. and brian I thinking about makeing the tools, There on the list. Eric here are the fuel line and filter brackets, Those are what your talking about right?

Thanks PIP. Javabug, Try takeing a thick putty knife under rubber and a little at a time tap between the body and rubber and open channel up so rubber slides out.

Grind and finish welds and metal finish the front of dash and relocate switchs and mock-up trim .

Thanks again for the great response everybody ! And yes I am using a tig welder with .027 steel rod and about 35-40 amps on the machine. I try to use 1 amp for every .001 of material.

Ya call me crazy, I relocated hood pull tube inside wheel well.All the years painting vws I always hated sanding the rear vents under rear window and sanding around tubes brackets wire ties etc.... Got rid as many as possible, Less cuts on the hands
