"All the years painting vws I always hated sanding the rear vents under rear window and sanding around tubes brackets wire ties etc" [/quote]
Top notch work Danny!!
So... how do you sand inside the vents under the rear window? I've seen so many "nice" cars over the years but that area was overlooked / ignored / forgotten.
Thanks for the progress pic's!

Its not really that bad behind the vents, I had the shell of the body wallnut shell blasted before I started. So its pretty clean. But yes if something has been painted many times, It would be very hard to clean up.

Well all flat panels have been blocked with 80-120 grit and everything else sanded with 220. And now reprimer just flat panels and then unmask and spot prime all bare metal. all steps get guild coated between sanding steps.

A lot of Incredible work being done here! I know how much work it is to bring a car back just to original condition without all the mods you're doing, great work.
