Clutch management next Elnef. You need it with your kind of HP if you want to improve your 60ft and save your gearbox.

Yes I know and have it in my car but it seems I still got other problems before I get to use it or learn to use it
(It was in my car when I bought it from us and one of few thing that Works from overthere  Wink Wink )

Udo do you have something special in your mind to look at on engine ?
I think valvespring pushrod maybe valve hit piston etc

So you already have a hydraulic clutch system in your with a solenoid, needle valve and a trigger switch mounted nearby the gearshifter?

Indeed. It looks really cool but it is not very efficient... Just ask Richie  Cheesy Add more slip and you can reduce the launch rpm, improve your 60ft and save your gearbox.

Get a leakdown done. You can determine easier what you have to deal with

John,

Regarding your over rev. , what did your memory on the tachometer say?
I suggest you:
Do a leak down test (NO compression test! If the valves are f-d, they gone be even worse. Compression test gives nothing comparing to leak down test, ever(!))
As the indication is with the compression test, now: Take of the heads and check the valves (and pistons for marks).
Check your connecting rods and journals.
"Been there/done that": 14k on the tachometer, made the rods kiss the ruff in the block (3 rods, journals, valves, seats, push rods, 1 piston and liner).
To much money to play around with. I would check everything down to the rod journals.

I suffer with you; "You ain't wearing the golden pants".
I have a new Rhino case, with the pinion seat steel bushed.
I also have a heat treated / de burred 3.88 R / P.

Mr Herrlander is unusually outspoken for being a Swede and I have to say I agree Smiley Do a leak down and you will know a lot more.

Keep fighting it Elnef and you will win!

After that I really dont know what I will do

The leak test will tell you what to do next together with your actual RPMS. If the leak test shows that your intake valve is leaking and you where below, let say 9000 rpms, I would replace the bent valve and that's it.

Yes engine is pretty "simple" now but I was thinking more in the future about racing go on or not
I have no memory on tach I shift around 8000 but I think engine came way over 10000rpm when I hit first
Like Mats wrote I am not wearing golden pants ;-)
I am not crying just thinking loud ;-)
I was out first time 97 bug run so its not easy to let racing go

John,
Your never gone "get rid of the oil", once a racer always a racer. Forget it: Your addicted!
It will come back, sooner or later ...

You say more than 10k rpm(?): you must check your valves, heads, seats... and probably you need 8 new springs. Springs don't like over rev. and must be checked.
Even though your leak down shows that your valves are tight, I had not relied on this.
If I'm not mistaken, you run K800 valve springs (?). With such a spring pressure, the valve remains sealed, even if it's bent.
I would definitely pull of the heads. (..and the liners, pistons and connecting rods, to check the journals).

Regarding the trany: get in contact and I'm sure we can work something out.
