... I guess they're okay if you want your car to look like a shopping cart ... Or a pram.

yes but with one élastifiant to make painting more flexible No it sucks anyway You should try it on the 61, even with bumpers holes it looks good to me.

Buggy bars, love'em. I have had them on two different cars 20yrs apart.
What about Doug Berg's buggy? I saw him run it a number of times and never thought to take a close look at it. Does anyone have detailed pictures of it? It alsways seemedl like en economical way to go racing.

Bumper history.... Around the early 70's California just inacted a law requiring bumpers on all cars. Most VW were going with t bars to meet the requirement. As my front bumper holes were filled, and I really didn't want to re-open them, I needed something that would mount under the car. I took a original rear buggy bumper that mounted to a skid plate, bent it in slightly...cut off the access, and used that. We, (auto haus) eventually started making them with the correct curve and length for use with bugs.

Here I am bringing up old posts again I quite like the front buggy bars, it would help as I can attach my front number plate to it! Now does anyone know where you can get them, I like the ones with a bit of a kink in the front? Thanks

Hi, I´d like to come back to the question if Buggy bars are available anywhere? Is there a source in Europe or Germany?
Thanks in advance, Tobi

Thanks! That looks goog! I just found out, that Paruzzi in the netherlands has them too, but not at the moment. Has somebody a Picture from the mounting of the Buggy bar? It seems that you have to built it yourself. Or am I wrong? Thanks again!

I think I will try one on mine, as I am a bit worried I will get pulled over by the police if I run the T bars!! Who sells a rear bar or do you just modify the front to fit the rest? Thanks Dave

. . . do you just modify the front to fit . . . ?
Actually, you modify a pair of rear buggy bars . . . one for each end of your Bug! A "REAR" buggy bumper on the front of my '67. Thanx to Worm for the photo!
