I voted for looking tidy, since it's more appropriate to my own situation Though i think 2 liter engines are awesome, my preference goes to look neat!

Going fast! I'd love if it was shiny but I am on a limited budget and have limited time. And longivity of course, but I have to admit that I have repaired my car this year. I once dropped a nut to one of the shocks and I had to tighten the pulley nut once.

I always started with looking good and then moved on to going fast. Probably the minority opinion!

Going fast in SSB style... You don't give me any alternative to chose... I don't think a car needs to be ugly to go fast. Fast and nice... twelves will do... whitout ercos... with ercos, elevens!! ;-)

Don't really see that this is a valid question. We drive lookers, they all look good... So If I answered going fast I would still look good doing it, due to what I drive! :-)
Image is everything?
Your car looks good for other people, but it drives fast for you to enjoy

I would like to quote Winnie the pooh; Yes please, I take both! Personally I would rather drive a fast and nice car rather than a faster, crappy looking car. I actually enjoy that people shows tumbs up and smiles to me when I drive my car. Heck, I even enjoy that they come over for a chat when I have parked my car. I`m pretty sure they wouldn`t do that if I had a noisy, rusty, shitty looking car... no matter how fast it was Best rgs BeetleBug

Isn t it first looking good and then going fast, cause the funds do not allow you to do both. Well that s the case with me anyway... But the end result should be both... regards eddie

For me it would be (and was) the same because of the funds: First looking good and then going fast!

This is a hard one ok if you got the money to do both that ok. But if you could only do one of them for me it would have to be. Going fast first you can always paint the car at a late date. Do all the fab work first making sure it all fixs and works then get it looking good.

I just read something that brings new light to my question; Its not how fast you go, its how you go fast.

Well I`ve had combinations of all of them. And I love driving a FAST VW but... with the penalties for street racing getting worse and worse everyday I`m leaning toward the look good but carry a small stick lately. I can`t afford a huge fine, having my liscense pulled, community service, car impounded and jail time I`m afraid I need to slow down a bit.

I don't have money to do both, so I'm begining with suspension/wheels/engine in that order, stance is everything, but you just need a hot engine to go with the stance oh well, paint will have to wait for the 2008 bugin
