I was referred to this site by another memeber....ahem... Jim.
Here's mah story...
For the past 6 years I've worked in the automotive business and I recently quit working to take a break and try and find something a bit more interesting or challenging rather....turns out...I really like cars and just hated the owner of the place I was working.
I'm 23. Born in Chicago, raised in NYC, and moved out to the Bay Area in 2000.
I never thought I'd even own a car until I'd lived out here a few years. People don't really have cars or even a DL in NYC...we had the subway.
I'm very into air cooled VW, Porsche, watercooled VW, weird Audis, hot rods and things of that nature.
I used to own a few neat cars but sold them out of necessity...
1967 VW Dune Buggy playboy body
1977 Porsche 911 w/ 3.2l
1986 Porsche 911 w/ just a piece of shit
I currently have a few motorcycles I run at the track, 2 american classic cars that were given to me by my father, 1 1948 Indian, and my daily driver...the 1992 Corrado G60.
It's awesome. I like it. It handles well....it does everything well except when it comes to...oh...the windows rolling up and down in a predictable manner.
I like music, cooking, volunteer work, movies, crappy tv, pretty much anything that distracts me from my life as I know it.
Travelling is something I'd like to do more of but being that I currently unemployed there is nothing to fund this.
Amadeus is my favorite movie followed very closely by the Doors movie.
I love John Belushi and Jimi Hendrix. I like to ponder conspiracy theories. Places that are allegedly haunted interest me.
Hopefully I have a nice bug like Rattos sometime soon. I'm looking to build one for the street. I live in a neighborhood I doubt anyone would try to take it...no matter how shiny.
Larry Mck---we've already talked on the phone. I know you'll never forget me.
Ratto- you rat bastard. Now I have a new place to waste time....this forum.
Below is a pic or two of me. I've actually never met anyone on this forum but Jim was my sales rep when I was working at my last job. I was so bored and such a chatterbox I think we ended up finding out we have similar music taste.
Next time you guys have a meet somewhere in So Cal let me know......I'll jet down there. I have the time.
