Bizarre... kinda looks like a rebodied VW. Which was very common before '53. Any guesses?

I don't think it's VW based.

The original picture of the car body is on Craigslist, Rick. We've already got an e-mail to the seller. My friends and I are usually pretty good about figuring out cars, but this one's got us stumped.

Lids, I can't believe that thing's real... must be fiberglass. Very unique, at very least.
Zach, at first... yeah, kinda Ford-ish. But the rearend looks very European in my opinion. Hard to say. Did you ever find out who made it?

I'm not sure... it's sitting in a town about 30 miles from me, havent been back there since I snapped the pictures about a year and a half ago. I thought I remembered seeing a Ford steering wheel, but I cant be sure...

from the doors forward it looks like a '37 Ford. The rest of it looks like it was hand fabbed. Tail lights look like Chevy units.

Thanks for posting that pic Rick! Those front fenders are DEFINITELY '37 Ford. Looks like the body has been severly sectioned just under the hood line, along with the grille. Everything else does look "one off", and the trunk(?) hole looks like a rear window... could be neat if it was saved....

DKW seems to be the closest, so far. Good call.
