Why not ? A little weird wheels, but I've never seen ATS  like this before.

Hey Mark, Thanks. Sorry for the late reply. Ya, I may keep the Repo Gas Burners on for awhile, If I do, the late Alloy's will go on my bus. My car does steer better maybe cause of the offset it has, kinda like that. Will see. See ya at Nicks!

Woke up early, today, and did this.

Ended up with this, later in the day.

I'm liking this WAY more than my previous bling shiny finish.

They are cool wheels too and perfect for cal-look in my opinion, it's another nice wheel from the 60s and 70s like the Ansen/Slot Style we don't often see. I like this kind of wheels.

Hey there Merd, I mean Fred, Euh Mark,  Tongue  I love the result, had been thinking about blasting my MWS Berms as well, but wasn't too sure on the outcome. What did you use to blast them and how rough are they now? Did you sand or rub them after the blasting?

Ciao,

Tim, what I did was merely a test to see what my wheels would look like with a dulled down finish. I couldn't stand my gloss clear coat any longer. So I tested some aluminum cam-lock fittings that were laying around the shop. After experimenting with different air pressures and using a rather fine grit of sand, I arrived at what I was looking for. Which was not too rough of a finish. But because I backed off of the the air so much, the wheels don't have as consistent or even look as I'd like. So I'm gonna go back and do 'em over. In the meantime, I'm considering having the wheels powder coated in a matte finish silver. I've got one quote, already, and I'm gonna hear back from my other friend's shop, tomorrow. If the price comes in low enough, I'll opt for that, instead. Then, I'll re-paint the black inset areas in a flat finish, once again.

I didn't sand them after I blasted. Just came home, masked them off, and painted the black areas flat black. Then, sprayed the entire wheel with matte finish clear. Again, this is temporary... because I can't stand shiny wheels. Can't believe I went a year before doing something about it. HAHA!! Finally had some free time and took care of it. When I go back to work, I'll try to find the exact type/brand/grit of media that we have in our machine. The finish is a little rough, but not too bad. I held the gun far away from the wheels to avoid getting them too rough.

Signet 165R15/87S is what's printed on the tires. But, to me, they look like a 165/70/15. They're made in Korea and the best looking tire with that width and profile that I've seen in years. They happened to be on the wheels when I bought them from Gaskey. Had 'em for 14 months and I really like them.
