October 1976 15 x 6" Fuchs with 155/60/15s up front and 185/65s out back. Rears aren't mounted yet since I'm still buttoning up the front end. I also need to clean them up a bit.

YES, John... either leave 'em like that or simply freshen up the semi-gloss black backgrounds and lugs. Looks excellent!

That is exactly the plan. New lugs and satin black backgrounds.

I would leave them as-is, if the car shows some normal wear/patina they look like they have always been on the car.

October 1976 15 x 6" Fuchs with 155/60/15s up front and 185/65s out back. Rears aren't mounted yet since I'm still buttoning up the front end. I also need to clean them up a bit.

But, you're right. My original comment about repainting the black areas applies if they're going on a car that doesn't show age or wear. If the car's going to remain as is for the time being or for good... Tero and Javabug bring up good points. At the end of the day, as long as you're happy with it, John... that's all that matters.
Either way, I think the car will look great with 'em.

Nice Nico... I had a set of Big Wheels on a Manx years ago. (Truth is, I was always afraid I would break 'em)
Dig the look though.

Like big wheel a lot , especially that you can change the rim's with readily available one's at what size you need ,but wouldn't want to put any proper power through them

I've just read that Lancia Fulvia wheels have a 4x130 patern, maybe we'll find some nice italian stuff.

4 lugs JP Wheels (swedish brand) were on the 67 when I bought it. I had first plans to take them apart and replace with EMPI spyders, but finally change my mind... Love them and.... these are on the car since it was redone some 24 years ago in Sweden!

Thanks Mark and Mark, They're just some rusty old Mangles I scuffed up and shot with Duplicolor rattle can. Looking for some cheap 5 1/2's for the rear. BTW it's not a DSK car YET, I do have stickers but I don't feel it's worthy. I can fully relate on the 5½" wheel theory on the rears. Don't feel bad about the wheels, either... I did the same thing. Got some old Mangles, sand blasted 'em, found the Dupli-Color paint code that best matches the original Porsche wheel paint color, some etching primer, sanding primer, 400 grit sandpaper, and spent a week or so transforming boring bling chrome wheels to proper and more serious looking ones. I have no money, 'cause of my very tight budget... so this was an easy way to have something more uncommon.
Your car will look and handle even better when you get a set for the back. Looking forward to seeing the car painted and the wider wheels.
